Moto Guzzi Cardellino - 1952 model

65cc single seat

This historic motorcycle Cardellino 65, model 1954, a legend that motorized post-war Italy (at the time more widespread than Vespa), has a very interesting suspension design.

The engine is a 65cc single cylinder 2 stroke with a cast iron cylinder head, producing 2 HP at 5000 RPM.

Dell ‘Orto MA 13 carburetor, shift is by a 3-speed hand change gearbox on the side of the fuel tank just like the 500cc bikes. Front brake with hand controls, rear brake with foot control. The Cardellino was updated with rear friction shocks and sturdier frame so one could carry a passenger. 10 lbs. heavier than the Guzzino.

This has been fully restored.
