1000 Le Mans

This motorcycle has been with one owner since new.
It has been laying around for 5 years so needs oils to be drained and replaced.
It was shipped down from Cairns for a full restoration.
This Moto Guzzi Le Mans 1000 is No 73 out of 100 Ultima Edizione. This absolute beauty was one of the best presented, top of the range racing machines of its time.
Guzzis’ Le mans story goes back to 1969 and the famous “Tonti Frame” that changed the Moto Guzzi racing story for many years.
Our job is to get it back to its original form and running as it should.
We will be not be painting the tank, sides or fairing but will be painting other components that are scratched and scuffed.
UPDATE:
The motorcycle has been stripped down.
Chrome has been re-done
New Pistons, valves, rings and guides
wheels restored
disc rotors machined
small brackets re-painted
everything vapour blasted
Front & rear brake master cylinders replaced
full re-paint of bike
engine reassembled
It is coming together nicely.
UPDATE: work completed
All the work has now been completed and it looks a treat.
It is now shining like a new pin and ready to go…
